The sticker on my windshield tells me that I need to have my car tuned up. Actually, it told me about six weeks and 1,700 miles ago…an oversight that may cost me down the road. At least I’m not alone; I read somewhere that most people consistently fail to get their cars serviced at recommended intervals.
The same is true in business, where year after year, most companies go about their sales process without paying attention to whether it is still serving them well. And like cars, neglecting the sales engine can lead to problems.
